Pulsar launches a new training programme to help safety managers gain a better understanding of noise risks, controls, legislation and best management practices.
Does your organisation use hand-held power tools or noisy machinery? If you do then you need to have a good awareness of issues raised by noise in the workplace.
This brand new noise training programme for 2018 has been designed to be attended by staff with the responsibility of health and safety. Delivered over a day, it is enjoyable, clear, easy to understand and packed with useful practical information. The course includes what to do and what not to do to avoid noise-related health problems. It explains the Control of Noise at Work Regulations, what to look out for and, very importantly, it highlights the fact that problems generated by noise are preventable with the right controls.
Delegates will be taught basic noise theory and shown simple methods for noise assessment calculations. Noise hazard identification, noise control and issues around the prescription of hearing protection are also covered. Simply, this course is ideal to provide delegates with enough information to allow sensible noise measurements to be made in the field of industrial safety.
Course content include:
- Basic noise theory
- Noise Units and terminology
- The EU Physical Agents (Noise Directive)
- Noise Control Basics
