Why do I need noise meter recalibration?
Pulsar Instruments’ sound level meters, noise dosemeters and acoustic calibrators are well known for being robust and hard-wearing. However, noise meter recalibration and service is an important factor of ensuring your equipment continues to function correctly; this is called in IEC standard 61672 for sound level meters or ‘Routine Verification’.
Returning your noise meter to us for service and recalibration lets us check the instrument’s performance and adjust it, if necessary, giving you total confidence that the measurements you take are correct and compliant with all relevant international standards. New firmware upgrades, batteries and any repair work (excluding microphone capsules and display screens) are also carried out at no extra charge.
We recommend that your return your noise meter for recalibration on a yearly basis. If you do, we will extend your warranty period for a further 12 months free of charge.
