Noise awareness regulations are something that all managers who are responsible for staff working in noisy areas of over 85dB(A) need to be aware of. It aims to raise awareness of noise as a risk, increasing safety professionals’ knowledge and perception of the risk level as a result together with encouraging safer behaviours and correct use of PPE at work.
Simply, it is the ideal way to increase understanding of the key issues relating to the measurement and control of noise in the workplace including the latest regulations.
The workshop program covers areas such as basic noise theory, the terminology used in noise measurement and also The Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 and BS4142 Method for Rating Industrial Noise Affecting Mixed Residential and Industrial Areas’. It also offers an interactive practical session where delegates get the opportunity to make some noise measurements under the guidance of experienced professionals.
