The SafeEar is a noise-activated warning sign that provides an instant visual alert when noise levels exceed a chosen threshold,…
Our noise-activated warning signs provide a clear visual alert when sound levels exceed set thresholds, helping organisations either protect people from harmful noise or maintain calm, quiet environments. Available in four designs and four languages, the SafeEar is easy to install and configure, and helps raise awareness when noise levels become too high.
Designed for industrial and high-noise environments, the ‘Hearing Protection Must Be Worn‘ and ‘Warning High Noise Levels‘ designs provide a clear visual alert when noise levels exceed a predefined threshold.
When noise levels rise, the sign automatically illuminates to warn workers that hearing protection is required. This improves awareness of noise levels and helps avoid unnecessary use of hearing protection.
For environments where controlling noise is critical to comfort, wellbeing, or concentration, the ‘Shhh Quiet Zone‘ and ‘Caution High Sound Levels‘ designs encourage quieter behaviour rather than warning of risk.
When noise levels rise, the sign automatically illuminates, providing a simple visual alert that helps reduce unnecessary noise and maintain a calm atmosphere.
The SafeEar can be fitted with the SafeEar Data Logger, which allows LAS noise levels to be recorded over long periods. The data logger can be programmed to begin recording at specific times and at set intervals over a day, a week or longer. The data can then be downloaded to a PC for analysis and reporting.
Answers to common questions about using noise warning signs.
You can, but it is not necessary as you are unable to create a report from the Noise activated warning signs. The microphone is fully professionally calibrated. You can check the warning sign is working correctly or that the trigger level is complete by a field calibrated sound level meter
Yes, the SafeEar can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
You are able to get datalogging, but it won’t create a report for you; it will just show you what noise levels were reached.
No. That would be counterproductive (add to the overall noise level), they light up a warning message instead.
You can set your own noise trigger level and when the noise reaches that level the sign will trigger. It is triggered by peak sound pressure levels not LAeq.
