HAVs Training
Do you need to carry out a Hand-Arm Vibration Assessment at work? The HSE would like companies to carry out their own assessments and surveillance without the need for external consultants, but if you feel you are not confident in how to do this we can help.
If you already own our Pulsar vB Hand-Arm Vibration Meter or are thinking of buying or renting one, we will come to a location of your choice and through the practical application of the meter on your tools, show you what to measure and how to measure it, so you can gain the confidence you need.
Our staff have been trained and hold competency certifications in Hand-Arm Vibration Assessments and will show you how to:
- Attach the accelerometer correctly to your tools
- Take the measurements
- Transfer the measurements from the meter to your computer
- Analyse the results using the in-built software supplied as standard
- Keep a record of the vibration magnitude and/or exposure points of your handheld power tools and machinery.
If you are interested in understanding more about the risks of Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome why not read our Blogs on the subject and visit our Service pages.
K Tomkins –
The product is exactly what we wanted, something to measure vibration at source in order to better manage our HAVs requirements. It works well and is simple to use, with the opportunity to work directly from the meter or in comfort in the office with the simple software. Simon offered excellent advice and information before purchase and followed this up with a site visit to make sure we knew how to get the best from the kit.
